He was generated by artificial intelligence—just one instance in a coordinated disinformation campaign aimed at destabilizing Israeli public discourse. The image wasn’t just fake—it was weaponized. And in that moment, what we witnessed wasn’t just deception. It was a form of semantic terrorism.

Semantic terrorism is the systematic use of language and imagery to erode meaning, manipulate emotion, and weaponize perception.
